Be a Character...
Sometimes I like to base secondary characters on real people. Jeff's nephew Brendan in Panhead is a reader whose name appealed to me enough to ask him for permission to use him in the story. Brendan the nephew has a cat named Gracie, reads science fiction, etc, just like the real Brendan. Matthew, a reader I became chatty with, and his partner Dennis will show up in PH soon.
